Don over at The Z clinic does very good work, but they're probably going to be just as expensive as japanese auto tech. I had my timing belt, h2o pump & pulleys done at the Z clinic last year & it cost me $1100! They were very cool though, they gave me an old beater, loaner car while mine was in the shop. After that I started doing all my own work on my Z. I did my clutch & rear main recently & it wasn't that hard of a DIY job. If you are thinking about saving some money & doing it yourself I can give you some pointers and even lend you a hand since you're in Austin. Shoot me an e-mail if you're interested. If not then I would suggest getting quotes from both places & go with the cheaper one. They both seem very Z knowledgeable.
